This year's fair is set for July 12th through the 18th at the Wabash Valley Fairground facilities on US 41 South in Terre Haute. Two event nights will feature tickets for just $5. New this year will be a IPRA Rodeo and USAC Sprint Race.
The grandstand entertainment will start with the Lucus Oil Pro Pulling League – Truck and Tractor Pulls opening day Sunday July 12th at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and children 12 and under are $8. Additional details on this event including entry information can be found at www.propulling.com.
Motor sports enthusiast will enjoy the lineup at this years fair. Monday July 13th and Thursday July 16th will feature Demolition Derby competitions at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and children 12 and under are $8. Wednesday July 15th will bring racing back during the fair week with Indiana Sprint Week featuring the USAC National Sprint Cars. The race is presented by First Financial Bank and 500 Express. Hot laps start at 6pm. Ticket information and more details about the race can be found at www.theactiontrack.com. The fair week will conclude with a Motocross race in front of the grandstand on Saturday July 18th at 7pm with all tickets selling for just $5.
Tuesday night will feature musical entertainment in the Grandstand with Wabash Valley Idol. Over 100 people attended three audition nights at the Landing at Fort Harrison in Terre Haute to compete for the title of Wabash Valley Idol. Voting will begin June 8th online to narrow the field from 30 down to 12. The event is sponsored by local radio station B 102.7 and audition videos and voting can be viewed at www.wbowfm.com. The top twelve finalists will compete on Tuesday July 14th in the Grandstand at 7pm. All tickets are only $5. This winner will receive $500 and an expense paid trip to the nearest American Idol audition site.
Friday July 17th will be the Boot City Championship IPRA Rodeo presented by HI99. The Rodeo will feature all the excitement of pageantry and competition with Bull Riding, Bareback and Saddle Bronc Riding, Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Barrel Racing events. The Rodeo will begin at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and children 12 and under are $8.
The fair will end with a Motocross Race Saturday, July 18th on the track. Racing will begin at 7pm with all tickets are $5.
Tickets to all the grandstand events will be sold at the fairgrounds ticket office the week of the fair July 12th - July 18th. The ticket office will be open at 4:30pm daily.
