1. This contest is open to Wabash Valley area residents only both Indiana and Illinois (counties of Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, Clay, Owen, Clark, Edgar, Sullivan, Putnam, & Greene), 16 years of age through 30 years of age. No purchase necessary to participate.
2. Employees of the Wabash Valley Fair Association and Crossroads Communications, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, advertisers (that are specifically connected with this contest and promotion), sponsors, dealers, and the immediate families of each are not eligible to participate.
3. The contest requires contestants to register during one of our auditions to perform for our panel of judges. Individual Contestants (no groups) will audition by performing one (1) song a capella (no instrumental support) in front of our panel of judges.
Contestants winning a “Golden Ticket” from the judges will continue their journey toward “Wabash Valley Idol Fame” with their video posting of song choice on www.wbowfm.com. Listeners choose their favorite contestants. Top contestants will be contacted to compete for our panel of judges at the Finals Competition to be held at the Vigo County Fairgrounds on July 14th.
4. Users will be asked to submit a valid email address, name and residence zip code to qualify for contest. All submissions are subject to verification of facts.
5. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected on July 14, 2009.
6. All entries will become property of Crossroads Communications, LLC and the Wabash Valley Fair Association Inc.
7. Top 12 finalists will be notified by Crossroads Communications via phone, mail and/or e-mail by June 26th, 2009. Finalists must provide any instrumental music support in CD format by the designated deadline in preparation of the finale.
8. Winner must be 16 years of age or older at the time of selection. Winner must be a Wabash Valley resident (counties of Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, Clay, Owen, Clark, Edgar, Sullivan, Putnam, & Greene).
9. By entering as a contestant, the participant agrees to give Crossroads Communications, Wabash Valley Fair Association (WVFA), & their partners and subsidiaries, permission to reproduce their voice, likeness and any biographical information. Crossroads Communications, LLC and the Wabash Valley Fair Association (WVFA) may utilize said information for promotional announcements, advertising, and other promotional tools for three (3) years.
10. As a condition of winning, each contest winner, by accepting the prize agrees that he/she will not represent, or appear in an advertisement for any other Wabash
Valley media-based web site or publication, other than wbow or wbowfm.com for a period of one (1) year from the date they win this contest.
Winners also may not grant interviews about their participation in any Crossroads
Communications contests without prior written permission of Crossroads Communications.
11. By accepting a prize, the contest winner also agrees to release Crossroads Communications and WVFA from any and all liability resulting from participation in the contest and/or acceptance or use of any prize.
12. Winner is solely responsible for any and all delivery charges. If necessary, winner should expect to receive a tax form 1099 for the value of the prize as provided by current tax laws. Unless otherwise specified herein, any non-cash prize cannot be redeemed for cash or replaced if lost or stolen.
13. Odds of winning contest depend on the number of entries received by the contest deadline.
14. Crossroads Communications, LLC, and WVFA reserve the right to amend these rules or terminate, suspend or modify the contest (including replacing or substituting prizes) at its sole discretion. By entering any Crossroads Communications contest, contestants agree to be bound by these official rules.
15. The winner may also, at the discretion of Crossroads Communications, LLC, and WVF be required to execute a Liability/Publicity Release form and Affidavit of Eligibility and to provide legal photo identification and a valid form of identification to verify residency.
16. Official contest rules are available for public inspection at wbowfm.com or during regular business hours weekdays, except holidays or extended holiday weekends, at Crossroads Communications Business Office, 1301 Ohio Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807, or may be requested by mailing a self addressed stamped envelope.
17. The Crossroads Communications contests are subject to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and are void where prohibited.
